Owners of the Peruvian hairless dog,a breed dating back 3,000 years and depicted in pre-his-panic ceramics,have offered a male puppy to the obama family,saying it is perfect for children who suffer from allergies.The search for a pet started after the US president-elect promised his daughters a puppy when they move to the White House.Claudia Galvez,director of the friends of peruvian hairless Dog association ,delivered a letter to the US embassy in LIma yesterday detailing her offer.According to peruvian folk-lore,the dogs have above average body temperatue,which compensates for lacks of hair and and helps alleviate symptoms of asthma or arthritis suffered by their owners.
